With the speech dialogue system, you can operate many of the functions of the map display on the MMI screen.
Important: The speech dialogue system must be switched on Link.
Commands for the map options are:
General options
- MAP ON/OFF - to display or hide the map on the MMI display.
- DAY/NIGHT MAP - to make the map background bright or dark Link.
- ADDITIONAL INFO ON/OFF - to display a list of upcoming turns (including the distance) during the route guidance.
Map type
- POSITION 2D/3D MAP - to display the current position of the vehicle on a two or three-dimensional map Link.
- DESTINATION MAP - to display the destination on the map Link.
- DETAIL MAP - to display the current position of the vehicle at a scale of 1 km. This function can only be used in conjunction with the speech dialogue system.
- OVERVIEW MAP - to display the entire route from the starting point to the final destination on the map Link.
Orientation
- ORIENTATION NORTH - to set the map to face north Link.
- ORIENTATION IN DIRECTION OF TRAVEL - to set the map to face the direction of travel Link.
- ORIENTATION AUTOMATIC - to set the map to face the direction of travel when the scale is less than 2.5 km. If the scale is more than 2.5 km, the map is set to face north Link.
Zoom
- AUTOMATIC ZOOM ON/OFF - to zoom in on the map when approaching intersections Link.
- ZOOM OFF - to switch off the currently activated map zoom.
- SCALE LARGER/SMALLER - to change the map display.
- SCALE (XY), e.g. SCALE 5 km - to change the map scale. You can choose any of the following scales: 50 m, 100 m, 200 m, 500 m, 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 20 km, 50 km, 100 km, 200 km and 500 km. Possible measurement units are kilometres/metres or miles/yards.
